ENROLLMENT CONVERSION SCORING · SLATE + BANNER

Which admits to call today, and why.

Yield fuses Slate engagement signals with Banner financial-aid data into a transparent 0–100 score — then ranks your admitted, not-yet-deposited students by where a counselor’s call moves the most.

HOW IT WORKS
I.
Connect Slate, read-only

A Configurable API key your Slate admin creates in an afternoon. Yield polls engagement signals on an interval — emails, events, portal activity. No writes, ever.

II.
Upload Banner FA data

A four-column CSV from your FA office — aid offered, accepted, unmet need. Institution-generated fields only; no FAFSA-origin data crosses the wire. Optional, and scored fairly without it.

III.
Work the ledger

Every morning: a ranked list of who to call, the basis for each call, and the expected effect in points. Your team acts in Slate Deliver or by phone — Yield never messages students.

THE MODEL

Nine signals. Visible weights. No black box.

The score is a weighted rubric, not a model you have to take on faith. Every student’s card shows the full arithmetic — what was observed, what it earned, and what it could earn if addressed. Weights are yours to adjust, and recalibration from your outcome data only ever tunes the numbers you can see.

What it doesn’t do: black-box ML, enrollment projections, causal claims. It ranks individuals, transparently, and tells you why.

BUILT FOR THE CALL SHEET

A counselor worklist, not an analyst dashboard.

Your team is three to five people with a deposit deadline. Yield ranks by leverage — where action moves the score most — not by raw score, so the top of the list is always the next best call, and every entry says what to do about it.

And when a question isn't on the list, ask it in English — Explore Mode queries your already-scored enrollment data, read-only, and shows you the SQL it ran.

LEDGER

Ranked worklist grouped into action lanes — FA escalations, campus invites, re-engagement.

SCORECARD

Per-student arithmetic: every signal, its points, and the projected effect if addressed.

INSIGHTS

Tiers by territory and major for the Monday meeting — the management lens on the same data.

EXPLORE

Ask in plain English — "admits within 60 miles, no visit, aid accepted" — and skip the Configurable Joins round-trip. Runs on your own Anthropic key.

FOR YOUR IT SIGN-OFF
ISOLATED BY CONSTRUCTION

One database per institution. No student data is ever shared or pooled across schools.

PII STAYS OUT OF PROMPTS

Explore Mode generates SQL from your schema; student PII never appears in prompts or logs.

FERPA-SAFE FA DATA

Institution-generated aid fields only, under the school-official exception and a signed DPA. No FAFSA-origin data.

READ-ONLY, EXACT-MATCH

Slate access is read-only; Banner rows join on institutional ID exactly — no fuzzy matching, no writes.

PRICING

One number, written down.

No per-student pricing, no tiers, no “contact sales” maze. The price is on the page because that’s how we’d want to buy, too — one deposit section covers it many times over.
